Raucous Blow-Out at Terroir in Murray Hill (NYC): Sneak Peek of the David Rosengarten Wine for Food Portfolio David Rosengarten

My beloved group of new wine imports—each one of which says “A David Rosengarten Wine for Food”—took a giant leap forward yesterday as we hosted over a hundred very enthusiastic trade people and press people at Paul Grieco’s shrine to Riesling in Manhattan, Terroir in Murray Hill.

As a sneak peek to our our upcoming wine portfolio launch week (next week), we ran a wine focused afternoon party at Terroir, where folks like Beverage Media Managing Editor W.R. Tish, were able to seriously concentrate on my portfolio. Then we blew it out at night, after restaurant hours, so that sommeliers could make it—we started at 10PM and ended at 2AM!—with a crazy fried chicken and karaoke party (we also managed to provide one of New York’s hottest dishes—Katz’s Deli Pastrami Egg Rolls from the great Chinese restaurant, Red Farm). Drew Nieporent was at the party, renowned English wine writer Stuart Pigott, the wine team from Michael White’s new restaurant Costata, and many more. It was wall-to-wall merriment, noise…and Riesling!

We showed other wines in my portfolio too, of course: terrific vintage Champagne from Michel Gonet, a crazy lively 2012 carbonic-maceration Grenache from the south of France, a 1999 aged Cretan red tasting like an Amarone that went to finishing school, and more. All great wines for food! They are part of my ten categories of food-loving wine that I’m offering. Read all about it next week when my portfolio-defining Wine Manifesto launches.

Some of these wines are available to YOU…right now!!!…simply by clicking on my shop. More of these wines will become available in my shop in the coming months.

For now, please look over the delightful images below from both day and night, September 23, 2013, at Terroir in Murray Hill. The winner of the late night karaoke & fried chicken contest will be announced later this week!
